Teeth reshaping is a minor cosmetic dentistry procedure many people aren't familiar with because not everyone is a candidate for it.
It's a process that involves enamel polishing which can change the length, shape, and/or appearance of a tooth. The procedure is quick and painless - and results are immediate!
Who should consider teeth reshaping?
My answer: People who want to fix small imperfections, like:
1. Small cracks.
2. Bumps or holes in the enamel portions.
3. Extra small teeth.
With tooth reshaping, I can repair those cracks, smooth out the bumps and holes, and adjust the length to teeth like canines – which are meant to be longer than other teeth. This procedure will not straighten teeth.
Reshaping is not recommended in cases of serious dental problems – such as large cracks, fractures or major flaws.
If you think tooth reshaping may be a good procedure for you, give our office a call. A thorough examination and dental x-rays wil
l help me determine if this type of remodeling will benefit your appearance – or if you're a candidate for another cosmetic dentistry procedure.
